The impeller fins are straight when new, but they take a "set" from being bent over in the waterpump housing over time, normal, but not good. The impeller should be replaced every 2 years, or if you don't know it's age. Re: 1989 15hp Gamefisher/Force. Well, I went looking for a parts motor, and found a 1989 Force 15 nearly identical to the Gamefisher 15. The thing pulled a 14' fiberglass skiff with two onboard at a good clip, (I'd guess about 18 mph or so with two big guys onboard).
