Some of the Euro wads are said to have 1 oz. shot cups but they don't look like they will hold an oz. of shot to me.

Its main purpose is to ease feeding of the wad on some reloading machines. Just wondering what everyone's favorite heavy upland load is. My all time favorite is 1 ounce of sixes doing 1220 fps with a SP20 wad. This year I have loaded up plenty to make it through the season but have also made some 1 1/8 ouncers at 1175 fps as heavy hitters and 7/8 ounces doing 1470-1480... You will find many, many loads that call for the TC20 wad as that is one of the many wads that BPI sells. I have two favorite powders for the 1oz load with SP20 wads, and I use Blue Dot also and don't find it to be that dirty. I prefer Herco in the "Old Style" compression formed AA case and IMR4756 in the STS case. Here is a drawing of the W23694. Below it is a "post wad" which appears to be the same except a post is built into the center of the wad; post-wad was designed for 16 yard trap from a full choke barrel. Basically it is an early attempt at a spreader. I have a box of 1000 post wads that I may use for that purpose sometime.

For 2 3/4" non toxic 20 ga loads, the straight walled hulls are the best. Fiocchi, Cheddite, Rio, Federal. You can get away with Bismuth in the Rem and Win hulls with the right powder and wads.
