From what I understand this gun is based off an older 228 model that is long since discontinued. The 226 is a bit longer. The 226 equivalent of this gun is the 226 navy.

Don't get sucked into the "real" P228 twaddle. The M11-A1 is the improved version of the M11 which was the military designation for the P228.
