I have an old Knight LK II that I changed over to 209's, bought the breach plug and new bolt from Knight I think. It uses the red plastic jacket deal that the primer goes into. Anyway I started out with CCI 209 M primers and had a lot of blow back but once I switched to Win 209 primers the problem went away.Blackhorn 209 is recommended for high-performance muzzleloaders with 209 primer ignition systems where the primer is TOTALLY enclosed. Not for use with any special muzzleloading primers, #11, musket or high-powered rifle primers. This powder is not suitable for sidelock muzzleloaders. The nipple is for #11 percussion cap and is not hex, it has 2 flat sides. I removed the breech plug with a drift punch and careful taps. The slots are in good condition. I did not try to remove the nipple because the nipple and plug looks like it might be one piece. This was easily achieved with a simple nipple change. The rifle continued to perform flawlessly and maintained its superb accuracy with Select Pyrodex Loose and 260 knight sabots.
