Make sure to start with the Boots of Striding. Only the Brute needs these more than the Cragheart. Movement is still tight at level 1, but since you have lots of ranged attacks it should be OK. Try not to use Massive Boulder for the move unless you really have to—the top is just too good. Invest in movement and initiative as you level.You can still build toward an obstacle-based Cragheart. For one thing, many/most scenarios already contain single-hex obstacles, which the Cragheart uses to power its abilities. For two, there are higher levels you can sacrifice that don't really help toward the obstacle build much. Hello! The Cragheart took a bit to "get", but is incredibly versatile. I've played three so far in two campaigns. What made my day was a decent guide to a ranged build. Google it, as I've not bookmarked the thread. Focus on the ranged cards, and make armored threats your priority. As you level, focus on the cards that let you hit things at range.With a 7 hex AoE, this is a quick way to get loads of Curses into the monster’s modifier deck. While not technically aligned with a damage focussed build, the damage mitigation here is well worth it. It’s like the Cragheart’s infamous Curse Tornado. Jump on Crystallizing blast bottom. 75 goldIf you just want to be effective without reading into the game so much you would probably be better off reading some beginner tips than Cragheart specific tips as most of what you do to be effective in this game (not taking tons of damage/not exhausting early/etc) are what will really take you far. I play on the hardest difficulty and Explosive Punch is just so much better. Sentient Growth looks good, but does too little on higher difficulty. Just my opinion.
