Browning a5 problems
Browning Auto 5 problems. I just picked up a 1950 Auto 5 that seems to have multiple problems. It won't eject fired shells and when you manually eject... the next shell feeds but the one in line afterwards dumps out the bottom. I have a browning maxus stalker that I removerd the dura touch from . Same issue it got really gummy .and if used in the rain the gun would turn from black to a milky gray . I used a scotch bite pad and rubbing alchol to remove the dura touch . Like.

When looking at the mag tube, it appears that the mag cap pushes down on the end spacer (movable end cap that the spring fits into) and this then blocks the last shell. Is there some way to fix this on my own. Install a shorter spacer, or follower,etc. Three of the 3" shells work fine as the over all length is shorter than 4 of the 2 3/4" shell. barnes_53 Copper BB. Remove the forearm and look in the forearm to see if there is a picture of how the rings are supposed to go. I think there is a sticky on the Browning lovers forum about this.
